We’re transforming our dedicated zone into an esports hub, packed with live competitions featuring talented school and university students, a free-to-play gaming area for everyone, and exciting amateur tournaments!

This is your chance to see firsthand how AEL is shaping the next generation of esports talent, fostering vibrant communities, and celebrating the passion for competitive gaming. Your Ultimate Esports Itinerary at Oz Comic-Con!

The AEL Esports Zone at Oz Comic-Con is your go-to destination for non-stop gaming action. Not only can you watch the University Esports Showcase on Saturday or the Schools Esports Competitions on Sunday, we also have plenty of gaming available for all Oz Comic-Con attendees throughout the weekend!

Free-to-Play Gaming Zone:

Open all weekend! Grab a controller and jump into some of your favourite titles available on XBOX Game Pass and Nintendo Switch. A perfect place to chill, play, and meet fellow gamers.

Games: Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Halo Infinite, Street Fighter 6, Minecraft and more!
Availability: All Oz Comic-Con opening hours.

Amateur Tournaments:

Think you’ve got what it takes? We’ll be running fun, friendly tournaments throughout the weekend for Oz Comic-Con attendees in the AEL Esports Zone. Fun prizes and bragging rights up for grabs!

AEL University Esports Showcase:

Witness Australia’s rising university esports stars compete on Saturday at the highest level! Expect intense matches and incredible plays from players representing Melbourne’s best university esports clubs.
