The Australian Esports League (AEL), a leading organisation dedicated to growing grassroots esports in Australia, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with HyperX, part of HP’s gaming ecosystem and a world leader in gaming peripherals, jointly alongside Officeworks, one of Australia’s most trusted household retailers.

This exciting collaboration positions HyperX as the exclusive gaming peripherals partner of the AEL, powering AEL competitions and live events with best-in-market headsets, keyboards, mice, and other performance-driven gear. Through the partnership, Officeworks will carry HyperX products in-store and online, giving gamers and families across Australia easy access to world-class gaming equipment.

The partnerships has delivered high-impact activations and has already made a significant impact across Australia’s premier gaming events in 2025, elevating the player experience for both casual attendees and competitive students.

Recent activations included the ‘HyperX / Officeworks Sound Wall’ featured at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane, Oz Comic-Con Sydney, and PAX Australia 2025. These interactive zones allowed thousands of attendees to experience the variety of the HyperX headphone range first-hand whilst playing Xbox Game Pass titles.

On the competitive front, the partnership supported the AEL Esports Stage at these major shows. University and School esports clubs competing in the AEL Nationals were supported by professional-grade peripherals, with students competing using Cloud III headsets, Alloy Origins Core Keyboards, and Pulsefire Haste 2 Core gaming mice.

Beyond live events, the partnership has enhanced the quality of AEL’s digital broadcasts. Commentators were equipped with Quadcast 2 microphones, ensuring crystal-clear audio for tournament streams across University and School competition broadcasts.

A Shared Commitment to Esports and Community

Darren Kwan, Managing Director of the Australian Esports League, welcomed the partnership:

“HyperX is recognised globally as one of the best in gaming peripherals, and having them power our tournaments has been a game-changer for the AEL and our players. From the Sound Wall at Oz Comic-Con to the tournament stage at PAX Aus, seeing our students compete using Cloud III headsets and Alloy Origins keyboards demonstrates the level of quality we strive for. Working with Officeworks also means more families and aspiring gamers can find HyperX gear locally, helping us grow participation in esports from the grassroots up.”

Neil Westhof, Head of Personal Systems ANZ at HP, added:

“At HP, we believe that ‘We’re all gamers’—a mindset that drives everything we do.
