The Sport of the Digital Generation.
Gaming is already the number one pastime for millions of young Australians. The AEL transforms this passion into a structured, positive school activity. We turn ‘gamers’ into student-athletes, building school pride and healthy competitive habits in an environment they love.
Real Skills. Real Growth.
Esports is a powerful vehicle for development. Students learn strategic communication, leadership under pressure, and complex problem-solving. It provides the same teamwork benefits as traditional sport, while fostering deep digital literacy and technical confidence.
Join the AEL Teacher’s Hub on Microsoft Teams.
Get a direct line to the AEL team, early access to resources, and support for running esports at your school – all inside one Microsoft Teams space built for teachers.
Getting started is simple, an esports club is like any other sports club.
A School Club
You need a club to organise students with a ‘Teacher in Charge’ to act as the contact point. We provide the resources to help you recruit interested students and form your initial team rosters.
Supervision
Required for every match. Matches are played on Saturdays, so most teachers supervise digitally from home (via Teams and Discord), while some schools choose to host teams on campus.
Parental Support
Just like traditional sport, parents are key partners. We provide supporting information to assist in parental involvement and support of their child’s participation.
Technical Setup
Flexible options. Students can play using school labs, or compete from home using their own PC or console (Switch/Xbox) depending on the game title.
