Get excited for the annual ‘Logan Esports Cup’ proudly presented by Logan City Council, a whole weekend of Esports and Video games taking over The Logan Entertainment Centre in Logan, QLD.

Including a prize pool valued at $1,000 spread across tournaments in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter 6, Mario Kart 8 & Forza Motorsport!

Plus we are holding High Schools competitions for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Just Dance & Minecraft.

Participate for some fun, meet like-minded players and prove you are the best of the best to be crowned Logan Cup champion of 2024!

Join in the SSBU tournament today to show off your skills to compete for a share of the $250 prize pool.

Format:

Played on the Nintendo Switch, players are seeded into a tournament bracket to play against one another until the champion is determined.
1v1, no items.

A maximum cap of 64 players is available for this competition.

Prizes:

1st place will receive $200
2nd place will receive $50

Join in the SF6 tournament today to show off your skills to compete for a share of the $250 prize pool.

Format:

Played on PC, players are seeded into a tournament bracket to play against one another until the champion is determined.

A maximum cap of 64 players is available for this competition.

Prizes:

1st place will receive $200
2nd place will receive $50

Mario Kart 8

Join in the MK8 tournament today and prove you are the fastest around the track to compete for a share of the $250 prize pool.

Format:

Played on the Nintendo Switch, players are arranged into pools of 8 to play against one another to advance from their pool into the championship pool to play until the champion is determined.
150cc, No kart restrictions

A maximum cap of 64 players is available for this competition.

Prizes:

1st place will receive $200
2nd place will receive $50

Forza Motorsport

Join in the Forza Motorsport tournament today and prove you are the fastest around the track to compete for a share of the $250 prize pool.

Format:

Played on the Xbox One Series S, players are given limited chances to set their best time on a track chosen by staff on the day.

A maximum cap of 64 players is available for this competition.

Prizes:

1st place will receive $200
2nd place will receive $50

HIGH SCHOOL DAY

Friday May 24th will be the esports day only available for high school students. Speak to your teacher about participation.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Join in the 1 v 1 Super Smash Bros. tournament today and represent your school in a showcase for which school has the best gamers!

Format:

Played on the Nintendo Switch in 1 v 1 format, school students are seeded into a tournament bracket to play against one another until the champion is determined. The winning school will be the school with the highest average placement.

Join in the Mario Kart tournament today and represent your school in a showcase for which school is the fastest!

Format:

Just Dance

Join in the Just Dance tournament today and represent your school in a showcase for which school has the best dancers!

Format:

Played on the Nintendo Switch, players will dance to three different songs, chosen by tournament officials on the day, earning points for each dance with the player with the most total points and school with the highest average points being declared the winners.

Minecraft

Join in the Minecraft build competition today and represent your school in a showcase for which school is the most creative!

Format:

Played on PC competitors will be given a prompt by tournament officials on the day and given a set amount of time to build something.
Tournament officials will then judge all builds and decide on a winner

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the event open to anyone?

This event is open to all. Players must be aged 13 years or older to compete in the esports competitions, those under the age of 16 we kindly request they obtain their parent’s permission to participate.

Are there any other restrictions to play?

Each game has a player cap, please check the information above to confirm how many can register for each event. Registrations are accepted on a first-in best-dressed basis. Players of all skill levels are welcome!

The games you've chosen are amazing, but what if I play something else?

Never played the games on offer and think you may actually like them? Don’t be afraid. Sign up anyway. We won’t judge.

In the future we may have other games on offer, follow our socials to hear about any future tournaments or let us know if you have a suggestion!

And exactly how does one win?

It’s a numbers game.

Players will compete over the course of the tournament. The best of the best will face each other in a Grand Finals to determine who the ultimate winner.
