FAQ Deep Dive

Have a Question?

Is the AEL Corporate Cup open to anyone?

Our registration policy is like our recruitment policy. Relaxed.

We only ask you be over 18 and register as a current employee representing your company (officially or unofficially).

Can I register as an individual?

There is no I in TEAM!

Unfortunately individual sign ups aren’t accepted for the AEL Corporate Cup. Players must sign up as team representing their company. A company team must consist of at least 3 Regular Players in each game, and can include unlimited Substitute Players.

We can register more than 3 people in a team??

TPS reports wait for nobody.

We understand you’re busy and might not be able to attend every single match. To help, we allow company teams to register Substitute Players. You can register as many Substitute Players as you like for your company team, at no extra cost, as long as they are registered with us 24 hours in advance of the night you need to substitute one of your Regular Players.

How many teams can register?

Space is limited!

For Season 1 first round registrations we are only opening slots for 8 companies and their teams, with each company team allowed 1 ‘squad’ per game. With 3 games on offer for Season 1, that means a company can register a maximum of 3 squads and 9 Regular Players. Remember though, Substitute Players don’t count to your Player limit!

So spots are actually limited?

Blame WH&S.

For now, sadly, yes. Until we can expand our physical space or tournament structure Season 1 is expected to be limited a maximum of 8 company teams (or 72 Regular Players). We’re always innovating though and like the airlines, we’ll find a way to make you fit!

Register here for your best chance at securing a team slot.

The games you've chosen are amazing, but what if I play something else?

It’s okay to play around.

Never played Smash and think you may actually like it? Don’t be afraid. Sign up anyway. We won’t judge.

And while you demonstrate your ninja-like flexibility as a cross-functional team player in high performing, ambiguous work environments under time sensitive pressure we’ll continue working to expand the line up in future seasons.

And exactly how does one win the AEL Corporate Cup?

It’s all about numbers.

Players will compete for points in their respective game titles, as well as an overall company. The company with the most overall points on the ladder at the end of the Season takes home the AEL Corporate Cup. Simple really.

For the more detail orientated full tournament details will be released soon.
