The Australian Esports League is hosting the 2023 Melbourne High School Esports Showcase at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne!
Students and Schools from across Melbourne are invited to join the ultimate High School Esports showdown with competition taking place across multiple games!
Compete at the 2023 Melbourne High School Esports Showcase at Oz Comic-Con and represent your school. Students are invited to showcase their talent, meet like minded peers and experience a esports in front of a large audience. The event is welcome to players of all skill levels.

Additionally the AEL will be hosting free play and open age competitions all weekend long, feel free to stick around and try them out!
Saturday – 10th June
9:00am – Doors open for Oz Comic-Con and AEL Free Play runs all day
9:30am – Tournament Check-In and Student Marshalling
10:00am – Mario Kart 8 commences
10:30am – Just Dance 2023 commences
10:30am – Minecraft Build Comp commences

Join in the Mario Kart tournament at the Melbourne High School Esports Showcase and prove you are the fastest around the track!
Played on the Nintendo Switch, players are arranged into pools of 8 to play against one another to advance from their pool into the championship pool to play until the champion is determined.
150cc, No kart restrictions
A maximum cap of 32 players is available for this competition.
Medallions and Certificate.
Join in the Minecraft Build Comp and show off your skills by recreating an iconic landmark within a set time limit. The most creative and interesting creations will advance forward until a champion is crowned!
Played on PC, school students will be given a time limit to build an object in creative mode, at the end of the time limit their buildings will be judged by AEL tournament staff.
A maximum cap of 32 players is available for this competition.
Medallions and Certificate.
Join in the Just Dance tournament today and show off your moves! The best dancer during the day will be crowned the champion in this high energy competition.
Played on the Nintendo Switch, players are seeded into pools of 4 in a tournament bracket to play against one another until the champion is determined.
A maximum cap of 32 players is available for this competition.
Medallions and Certificate.
This event is open to all. Players must be aged 13 years or older to compete in the esports competitions, those under the age of 16 we kindly request they obtain their parent’s permission to participate.
Each game has a player cap, please check the information above to confirm how many can register for each event. Registrations are accepted on a first-in best-dressed basis. Players of all skill levels are welcome!
Never played the games on offer and think you may actually like them? Don’t be afraid. Sign up anyway. We won’t judge.

It’s a numbers game.
Players will compete over the course of the tournament. The best of the best will face each other in a Grand Finals to determine who the ultimate winner.
