Announcing the 2023 Logan Esports Cup presented by the Australian Esports League.
Leading Esports provider, Australian Esports League (AEL) is bringing Esports back to the City of Logan in March. The 2023 Logan Esports Cup presented by the Australian Esports League and supported by the Logan City Council Event Attraction Program will offer gamers the chance to compete and win prizes across some exciting games.
The 2023 Logan Esports Cup is happening on March 25th and 26th at the Logan Entertainment Centre and will feature a $1,000 prize pool spread across several popular esports games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, 2 v 2 Rocket League & Mario Kart 8. Games will be played on both Xbox and Nintendo gaming consoles for both tournaments and the free play gaming area with a variety of multiplayer games for families and friends to enjoy!

“We are extremely excited to be able to bring esports to Logan City. There are plenty of keen gamers in the local area and so is fantastic to get support from the Council to host such an event. It is so important for people within these local communities to be able to connect and esports is the ideal platform to help facilitate these connections”, says Darren Kwan, CEO of Australian Esports League.
Also returning is the High School competition for students to represent their school in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Rocket League! We welcome all high schools to bring a squad along and may the best students win!
For any parents and teachers wishing to learn more about the world of esports with their students, the AEL will be hosting a High School focused workshop on the Sunday morning at 10:00am covering off key topics such as careers in esports and gaming, player welfare and benefits, and more!

Mayor Darren Power said the city was looking forward to hosting another successful Logan Esports Cup.
“It’s great to welcome this innovative and modern event back to Logan for another year,” Cr Power said.
“Esports is rapidly growing in popularity worldwide, and it’s fantastic that we can support it by hosting events like the Logan Esports Cup.”
During selected matches there will be a live broadcast with commentary which will be streamed for audiences to watch. Or come along and spectate from the venue to cheer on your favourite players!
